'Jingle Bells' is one of the best-known and commonly sung American songs in the world. It was written by James Lord Pierpont and published under the title 'The One Horse Open Sleigh' in the autumn of 1857. 'Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town' is a Christmas song written by J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie. The earliest known recorded version of the song was by banjoist Harry Reser and his band on October 24, 1934. It was then sung on Eddie Cantor's radio show in November 1934. This version became an instant hit with orders for 500,000 copies of sheet music and more than 30,000 records sold within 24 hours. 'Last Christmas' is a song by British pop duo Wham!, originally released in December 1984 on CBS Records internationally and as a double A-side on Epic Records with 'Everything She Wants' in the UK. 'Feliz Navidad' is a Christmas song written in 1970 by Puerto Rican singer-songwriter José Feliciano. With its simple, heartfelt lyrics—the traditional Spanish Christmas/New Year greeting 'Feliz Navidad, próspero año y felicidad' ('Merry Christmas, a prosperous year and happiness') followed by (in English) 'I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart'—it has become a pop Christmas classic. 'The First Nowell', also known as 'The First Noel (or Noël)', is a traditional English Christmas carol with Cornish origins, most likely from the early modern period, although possibly earlier. It is listed as number 682 in the Roud Folk Song Index. Reprise is music from the Spirited Away OST. It was featured as background music for the Chihiro and Haku flight scene in the film Spirited Away. 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' is a Christmas song by American singer Mariah Carey. She co-wrote and co-produced it with Walter Afanasieff for her fourth studio album and first holiday album, Merry Christmas (1994). Columbia Records released it as the lead single from the album on October 29, 1994. The track is an uptempo love song that includes bell chimes, backing vocals and synthesizers. The song has become a Christmas standard and continues to surge in popularity each holiday season. 'Silent Night' ('Silent Night, Holy Night') is a popular Christmas carol, composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr. Johannes Brahms's 'Wiegenlied' ('Lullaby'; 'Cradle Song'), Op. 49, No. 4, is a lied for voice and piano which was first published in 1868. It is one of the composer's most popular pieces.
